Hostel Argonauta - Obidos

Located just outside the city wall, the hostel offers a convenient location for exploring the charming streets and historic sites. the bus stop is also nearby, making it easy to access other destinations. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with towels and blankets provided. the shared bathroom is well-maintained and the breakfast is enjoyable, offering a variety of options. some rooms offer a nice view of the surrounding area.

The walk from the train station to the hostel might be a bit long, and Google Maps can provide confusing directions, causing some travelers to miss their train.

this adorable hostel in obidos exceeded my expectations during my longer stay! the cozy atmosphere, beautiful house, and charming location under the town gates made it a unique and lovely experience. and all of that at a reasonable price!

Towels were old and torn.

We had an amazing stay in a cozy hostel located in the heart of the walled city. the location was perfect, with everything in the center just a short walk away. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with fresh towels and toiletries provided. the breakfast was delicious, with homemade jams and warm bread. the owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Plus, the views from the private room were stunning.

The shared bathroom had a time limit for showers, which was a bit inconvenient.

The character and uniqueness of the place was absolutely fabulous. the paint, the art, everything had so much charm. the view of the city wall from the window was breathtaking, especially at night. the location couldn't have been better, with easy access to the city and its attractions.

It was slightly inconvenient having to inform the owner of the exact arrival time, as they were not always present at the property. This caused a bit of a hassle when I arrived earlier than expected.

My recent stay at the hostel was fine and spotlessly clean. The hostel had so much character and the owner, Marcelo, was very helpful. Located just outside the city walls, it made for a great base to explore Obidos before the tour buses arrived. The room was comfortable and the living room and kitchen were shared with other guests, giving it a homestay feel. Despite the lack of staff presence, Marcelo was always available via text to answer any questions. I highly recommend this hostel for its charm, cleanliness, and convenient location.

While the hostel was fantastic overall, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the closest supermarket was about 1 1/2 kilometers away, which may be inconvenient for walkers or backpackers.

The value for money at Argonauta was excellent, the room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect. The staff treated me with great hospitality and provided helpful recommendations.
